Innuendo aside.

Doing your nails has always been the way of the woman and I’ve always loved doing my nails whenever I get the chance. But somehow between finding mommy’s nail polish in 1995 and getting them done in 2010, nails have become slightly more different, more edgy and more risqué.

Extreme manicures are fast becoming the talk of the town with designs more elaborate than the next with expert detailing. It's more than just a lick of clear on the pointers. The possibilities really are endless with nail designs ranging from zebra print to 3D nails decked with flowers, fruit and veg and coloured gems.

The design can be anything. Celebrities such as Rihanna, Katy Perry and JLo have been spotted sporting these weird and wonderful designs and they look fabulous. Great for spring.

So most of the celebs go to Minx, a nail boutique that will do you these designs, and I’m sure it’s well worth a few quid as a nice treat...

… But the mantra is money doesn’t grow on trees, so do it yourself at home!

If you can’t reach a nail salon or you’re stretched for cash you can purchase nail stencils, polish, and 3D art supplies on the net EBay will sort you. Most will be imported from China and the Far East but P+P charges are quite reasonable. So get trés creative and when your done, you can send us a photo of your nailies with your name*, blogname/link and description of your chosen design* to MADMSL@hotmail.co.uk which I’ll be happy to share on my blog.
